Law Enforcement Reporting System
Customer
The client is a San Francisco based company involved in documentation and workflow process management. They have more then 15 years of experience in the healthcare market and are experts in their field. The company recently decided to use their workflow management experience to create a tool to automate reporting procedures for law enforcement personnel.
Business Case
The client had hundreds of professionals in the field writing thousands of reports, however, the staff that was involved in processing, storing, archiving, and retrieving those reports was very limited and could not accommodate the increasing submission volume. Client's forms needed to be automated then utilized from report creation all the way through distribution and archiving. Officers and Supervisors would fill out reports using either a mobile client or their current local area network, while having access to a complete approval-rejection tracking.
Solution
The solution is a forms-based incident report writing system. Finalized incident reports (in PDF) can be shared with others using the integrated, paperless report distribution process for maximal cost-efficiency. Information contained in the forms is also stored in a SQL database for later retrieval and analysis.
